Inner Space
From all the different places that I went to photograph this year, the Redwoods was my favorite. On top of being an amazing place to be in, I was very lucky to have at least one keeper from each day I was there, which is a luxury, considering that there's places I've been three or four times and I have nothing to show for other than the experience of being out in nature. That in itself is a huge reward.
On this day, I had been scouting different groves along Highway 101 in Northern California. I drove up and down the coast, stopping anytime something would catch my eye. This was towards the end of the day, when I was racing to make it back to camp, where Diana was waiting for me to eat dinner. But I had to stop because the light was way too amazing, and dinner or not, I was here to work.
Even though this is not a dramatic-epic-end-of-this-world type of scene, I simply love how the sunset light brings out all the intricacies and details on all the different textures and colors.
I would love to hear your comments and also would be very grateful if you could help me spread the word about my work!
