This was the best sunrise I've seen at the coast. I was teaching a workshop and we arrived about 15 minutes late to really get the best light, but my student had to go back to the hotel while we were driving over to Second Beach. Not only was the light pretty good, but it was also low tide and we took advantage of the many different tide pools along the beach. Second Beach, Olympic National Park, WA.

A magnificent sunset at Cape Kiwanda, OR. In late spring or very early summer, as this was shot the day before the summer solstice. The waves were pretty strong this evening and sometimes as high as 50 - 60 ft. Pretty humbling experience to be surrounded by this raw power.
